Qurban (Eid al-Adha Animal Sacrifice)

Coordinated sacrificial distributions to support needy families during Eid al-Adha. Our Qurban programme organises procurement, humane slaughter (where applicable and legal), processing and fair distribution of meat to registered households, community centres and emergency feeds. We work with local partners and religious leaders to ensure distributions are respectful, transparent and reach the most vulnerable.

Who benefits

Families facing food insecurity, elderly people who cannot readily access markets, people displaced by crisis, and households identified through our local partner networks. Priority is given to households with young children, elderly dependents or recent loss of income.

How the programme works

1. Community needs assessment and beneficiary registration with local partners.
2. Ethical procurement and logistics planning to purchase appropriate animals.
3. Processing in accordance with health and safety regulations and religious guidelines.
4. Organised distribution events at community hubs and direct household delivery where needed.
5. Monitoring and feedback to ensure fairness and transparency.
