Feed the Needy

Targeted food distribution programme serving the most vulnerable. Feed the Needy focuses on identifying households and individuals facing acute food insecurity and delivering tailored food assistance — from single emergency packs to short-term food support while longer-term solutions are arranged.

Who benefits

Extremely vulnerable households, elderly people without caretakers, displaced families, pregnant and breastfeeding mothers, and children at risk of malnutrition as identified through community networks and partner organisations.

How the programme works

1. Rapid community assessment and referral to identify immediate needs.
2. Preparation of culturally appropriate food packs sized to household needs.
3. Distribution via community hubs, partner organisations or direct doorstep delivery for the most vulnerable.
4. Follow-up visits and referrals to complementary support services (cash, livelihoods, health).
